ASAP/After School Activities Partnerships volunteers lead or assist in leading recreational activities –chess, debate, drama, and Scrabble – for kids in Philadelphia in schools, libraries, community-based organizations, or recreation centers.
Volunteers decide which of the four activities – chess, debate, drama, or Scrabble – they are most interested in and we provide training, assistance with background checks, supplies and support to prepare volunteers to lead or assist in leading their club. Volunteer orientations are held monthly so potential volunteers can learn more information about how the process works and get acquainted with ASAP.
