ASAP/After School Activities Partnerships volunteers lead or assist in leading recreational activities –Scrabble, drama, debate, or chess – for kids in Philadelphia in schools, libraries, non-profits, or community centers.

Volunteers decide which of the four activities – chess, drama, debate or Scrabble – they are most interested in and we provide training, assistance with background checks, supplies and support to prepare volunteers to lead or assist in leading their club. Volunteer orientations are held monthly so potential volunteers can learn more information about how the process works and get acquainted with ASAP.

ASAP also has one-time opportunities for volunteers! If you are interested in a one-time experience, please indicate that on your form.

With the additional capacity needed to place virtual volunteers and many of our programs winding down for the year, ASAP is pausing its volunteer intake until Summer 2021. If you’re interested in volunteering with us this summer or fall, please fill out the form below and one of our staff members will get in contact with you in the next few months.
