SUMMARY:National Chess Day Tournament 2022
DESCRIPTION:Join ASAP Chess for our 2022  National Chess Day Tournament. This event will be hosted at George Washington Carver High School\, located on 1600 W. Norris St\, Philadelphia PA. 19121. \nThis tournament will be a 4round swisssys with a time control of G40/d5 and is open to all K-12 students. Students are able to be registered in the following sections: \nK-3U500 \nK-6U800 \nK-8U1100 \n7-12U800 \nK-12OPEN \nAwards will be given to the top 3 individuals for each section and the top 2 teams across all sections. \nCheck in for this event will be from 8:30 – 9:30. Be sure to arrive during the alloted check-in time to ensure entry into the first round. Late arrivals will still be permitted to play but will be placed into the 2nd round to ensure prompt start time of the first round\, beginning at 10am. Each round will begin promptly after the previous round has completed with award ceremonies scheduled to begin as soon as the final round has ended. \nThere is no entry fee but registration for the event closes on Wednesday\, October 5th\, 2022. \nIncomplete forms\, late entry forms\, and same-day-registration will not be accepted for this tournament. \nPlease email jcordero@phillyasap.org for a registration form.
